Drainage Trencher

Lawn and Turf Maintenance have now added Slit Drainage Installation to our Services.

Each Venue has individual problems and needs to be considered separately. These Slit Drains are methods of improving the existing Surface with a minimum of disruption.

Slit Drainage is a method of removing unwanted Water from any Grassed Surface. The Technique is designed to be installed quickly with a minimum impact on the Grass and a short recovery time. An area deemed to be badly affected may be Slit Drained without disruption to Scheduled Events. It has been proven that the narrow Slit Trenches are successful in removing the Volumes of Moisture generally encountered.

Our Laterals are only 70mm wide and 300mm deep Backfilled with 120mm of Gravel and 180mm of Sand above. (A 50mm Drainage Pipe can be added if required.)

The depth of only 300mm means our System can be installed in an Oval without cutting through existing Irrigation Pipes which can lead to expensive and time consuming work to repair all the breakages.

The 70mm wide Trenches quickly get covered over again by the growth of the existing Warm Season Grass so that no Sodding of the Trenches is required.

The Trenches can be installed from 2m apart upwards.

These Drains can be run into Main Drains and Collector Drains of 100mm wide with 65mm Diameter Pipe and 200mm wide with 100mm or 150mm diameter Pipes to remove the Water quickly from the area.

Sand Grooving can also be used with these Drains to get all the Water off the surface very quickly.
